Black Abolitionist Papers: Document Image View

A guide to all aspects of ProQuest's Black Abolitionist Papers database including content, searching, and viewing results.

Document Image View

The Document Image page displays, by default, the first page of the record as a JPEG image. There are no additional tools, such as Zoom, when viewing the JPEG file, thus if you wish to manipulate the image click the "Switch to Flash" link in the Image Options section above the image. (Flash must be installed on the computer in use in order for the "Switch to Flash" option to work properly.)

Other options for viewing the document from the "Document Image" page include:

  • View document as PDF

If additional pages are available for the document, page numbers will appear at the top and bottom right corners of the pages. Simply click the page numbers to navigate to the next page.

You may also take advantage of the menu to the right side of the page, which includes:

  • Marked List
  • Search History
  • Back to results
  • Durable URL
  • Change default image view
  • Print View
  • Save item to My Archive

For more information about the above menu items, see the Tools page of this guide.
