Black Abolitionist Papers: Document Full Text View

A guide to all aspects of ProQuest's Black Abolitionist Papers database including content, searching, and viewing results.

Document Full Text View

The Full Text view of documents provides a complete scrollable page in which to view the document. The text of the document will appear in the page along with an abstract and footnotes written by experts in this field of research (see Image 1 below).

The title of the document is hyperlinked so that you may return to the full record. Links to the Document Image, Document PDF, Marked List and Search History are located at the top of the page.

If search terms are found within the document's text, abstract, or footnotes, the hit-terms will be highlighted and accompanied by arrows that allow you to toggle forward and backward to the next hit-terms found throughout the document (see image 2 below). Use the Jump to first hit link to toggle to the first hit within the document if you do not immediately see it on the page, such as is seen in Image 1.
