Description and Objectives:   This session is an overview of Newspapers.com Library Edition.  It is one of two modules offered for this historical newspaper content which is a part of the Ancestry suite of products.  Dating from the 1600s to the 2010s, this database contains over 10,000 plus historical newspapers in full runs or portions of runs from around the globe. 

After viewing this learning module, you will be able to:

  • Isolate papers of regional or topical importance
  • Discover content by browsing geographically or by newspaper
  • Employ tips for using the viewer effectively

Module: Newspapers.com Library Edition Searching and Saving

Intended Audience: Anyone new to Newspapers.com Library Edition

Suggested Prerequisite:  Newspapers.com Library Edition Overview

Description and Objectives:   This session is targeted on searching and saving in Newspapers.com Library Edition.  It is the second of two modules offered for this historical newspaper content which is a part of the Ancestry suite of products. 

After viewing this learning module, you will be able to

  • create and save searches using keywords, locations, and dates
  • select the best method for clipping, saving, printing, and sharing articles based on your research needs
