Search the unique database ID for articles and documents.

Enter keyword(s) without a field code label to search the entire record.

Searches for keywords in the citation and abstract. It is a full record search, but does not include a search on the full text.
Author AU AU(Olabarria, Celia)     

Finds documents written by a particular author. Use the Look Up list to verify the various formats of the same name. 
Author Affiliation AF AF(Oxford)     

Finds documents written with additional author information such as institutional affiliation, location of institution, and if provided, the email address of the author. 
Caption CAP CAP(pesticide poisoning symptoms)    

Explanatory text about published images. 
Classification CL CL(Plant culture)    

Classification codes are broad subject headings specific to various databases. They are a fast way to precisely target a search by topic, geographical area, or article type.
Company/Organization  ORG ORG(Ford)      

Searches for a company or other organizations featured prominently in an article. 
Conference CF CF(International Immunonutrition Workshop)    

Searches the name of the conference and where and when it occurred. For faster retrieval, ignore the common words such as "annual or "annu" or "meeting" and search for the distinctive elements only.
Corporate Author CA CA(Smithsonian Institution)    

Search for corporate/institutional name, country, city.
Document Text FT FT(toxic waste)    

Searches for keywords in the body of the article. 
Document Title TI TI(greenhouse)    

Locates the occurrence of search words in the title of the article.
Document Type DType DType(Market Research)   

Finds specific document types such as article, business case, company profile, market research.
Edition ED ED(5-11 Rev)     

Search for editions of a publication.
Figure/Table type FIGT FIGT(illustration)  

Graph, illustration, photograph, map.
Identifier (keyword) IF IF(microbial)   

Search the researchers identifiers keywords.
International Standard Books Number ISBN ISBN(9780415540711)

Looks for the 12 and 13 digit International Standard Book Number (ISBN), where available. Hyphens are optional.
International Standard Serials Number ISSN ISSN(0873-5417‎)     

Looks for the eight digit International Standard Serials Number (ISSN), where available. Hyphens are optional.
Language  LA LA(Spanish)       

Original language of the document. 
Location  LOC LOC(China)     

Specific geographic area or location.
Notes NT NT(erratum)      

Supplemental data, for instance an erratum.
Original title OTI OTI(Biogene Amine)    

This is where a foreign-language title might be displayed, if the article included both an English and a foreign-language title.
Physical description PH PH(map)

Search for physical description (maps, sheets, folded etc.)
Publication Title PUB PUB(Nature)  

Search specific publication or publications.
Publisher PB PB(Cambridge University Press)   

Search for the publisher of the source such as the journal publisher. Use quotation marks for more precise results.

Looks for the data in a cited reference. It will search all of the main components of a cited reference (cited author, cited document title, cited publication date, and cited publication title). 
Source type SType STYPE(newspapers)     

Finds specific source types such as books, newspapers or scholarly journals. 
Subject Heading(All) SU SU(freshwater)  

Look for articles about a specific subject.

Volume of a resource.
