Visual History Archive: Viewing Testimony

Viewing the Video

video controlsAfter clicking on a search result, you are taken to the viewing screen.

As the page loads, the video will begin streaming.

There are a few controls on the page that will assist viewers in navigating through testimony.

  • Right of the video is a radio button allowing users to toggle between the video and a slideshow (if available).  Slideshows contain family photographs, momentos, and documents etc, that are extracted from the video.

  • Tape: There is often more than one tape in each interview, so users can use this to jump forward/backward within a longer interview.

  • Directly below the video are the controls to scroll forward, pause, mute (or control the volume), and the diagonal arrows allow users to view the video in full screen mode.
