Translation and Multi-Language Use

You can use the Google Translate tool to translate page text, including transcripts, abstracts, search results, and browse, into the selected language. It's available on every page toward the upper right.Box around Google Translate tool on Alexander Street Multimedia


You can browse Alexander Street Multimedia Collections by using some options under Menu. One of those is My Collections; another is Disciplines.

Link, Embed, and LTI

There are multiple ways to share and embed content from Alexander Street Multimedia.

To see the options, click any time you see </> Embed/Link or just </>.

This will provide Permalink, Embed Code text, and LTI launch URL that you can copy and paste. For the first two options to work off-campus, you might need to add proxy information to the links. Contact Support for help with this.

Alexander Street supports standard linking to content using Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI). With LTI your instructors can more easily embed links to content and users can access the content using their credentials on the learning management system.

With LTI there is no need to add proxy prefixes to the content page request and no need for the user to sign into the proxy. You can either use an LTI tool in the LMS or copy and paste an LTI launch URL from the item.
