Usage Reports

Usage Reports provide granular information on the usage of the titles in your collection, which can help demonstrate return on investment.
There are a number of advanced search fields to alter your search options including by Title, Keyword, multiple ISBNs, Ebook Central's Document IDs, Username, IP address, or from a List.

Generate the usage to report for detailed information on your library's usage. In order to access the full report, Export to Excel, which will give you additional information as well as what is shown on the screen.

Click View Summary to generate additional data as well as qualitative information such as your library's Top 5 Titles and Subjects. Export the data to Excel if required.

This session provides an overview of LibCentral Usage Reports.

Duration: 4 minutes

Title Reports

The Title Report is generated the same way as the Usage Report. The Title Report is designed to provide information on specific titles, rather than on usage.

The Title Report will also go into depth for any short term loans (STLs), access to own (ATOs) or Non-Linear Loans (NL), including setting parameters for Above and Below. For example: filtering for Number of Non-Linear Loans Above 200 and Below 50, will generate all titles that the library owns in the NL access model that have more loan days between 50 and 200 days.

After running the title report, you can Export the report to Excel or view a Summary of the data available.

The title report can provide a lot of information and detail. Before exporting to Excel, you must first choose all the fields that you wish to view. As this can be quite a long report, yet may take some time to run and will be delivered to your email address when available.

The Title Summary provides a quick view of some of the statistics available if you did not wish to generate a comprehensive report.

Expenditure Reports

The Expenditure Report details cost and purchasing information and will include a link to the originating order for purchases made in LibCentral. The Expenditure Report expands upon lists of Owned Titles that you can retrieve from the LibCentral Dashboard, and will provide a separate line for every transaction (STL, credit purchase) for each book. This provides a further layer of information upon the Owned Titles list. Note: do not expect the number of lines in the Expenditure Report to be same as the number of owned titles.

Expenditure Reports does not provide data on subscriptions. Please refer to your subscription invoice for that expenditure.

You can also generate an Expenditure Summary which will give you the total expenditure according to the filters you entered when generating the full report.
