Auf dieser Seite finden Sie die ca. 140 Datenbanken mit Primärquellen und Archivmaterial, welche die Bibliothek der Freien Universität Berlin für Sie über den Anbieter ProQuest bereitstellt. Die Datenbanken sind grob nach Themenbereichen gegliedert: Historische Zeitungen und Zeitschriften -- Geschichte der USA -- Geschichte der USA: Nachrichtendienstliche Quellen -- Afroamerikanische Geschichte -- Geschichte Großbritanniens -- Sonstige Geschichtsthemen -- Soziologie (inklusive Ethnologie und Gender Studies) -- Psychologie (inkl. Erziehung und Sozialarbeit) -- Kunst und Literatur -- Natur, Umwelt und Ernährung -- Religion -- Wirtschaft.
Um gezielt nach einzelnen Wörtern oder einem Datenbanknamen zu suchen, verwenden Sie bitte die von jedem Browser angebotene Suche innerhalb der Seite (via Strg-F bzw. Ctrl-F).

Ein Datenbankeintrag besteht maximal aus den folgenden vier Kompontenten:

  • Name der Datenbank: Der Link führt zur Suche in der Datenbank
  • "Mehr Info": Falls vorhanden führt der Link zu einer Seite mit weiteren Informationen zu der Datenbank
  • "via ...": Gibt an, über welche Plattform die Datenbank angeboten wird. Der Link führt zu einer Seite mit zahlreichen Informationen, wie die Plattform zu benutzen ist (die verschiedenen Plattformen und zugehörigen Links sind auch in der Box Hilfe zu den Datenbanken zu finden)
  • Info-Icon: Per Mouse-Over wird ein kurzer Infotext zu den Inhalten der jeweiligen Datenbank angezeigt. Bei längeren Info-Texten empfiehlt sich statt des Mouse-Over ein Klick auf das Info-Icon, um den Text auf dem Bildschirm zu halten und frei nach oben bzw. unten zu scrollen.
